Quick note on the latest and the greatest

So here's the latest and the greatest that I heard from GPL

1. Folks from GPL have gone to Chandigarh to get the approvals (so it should be with them any time)

2. When the approvals come in they will send customers (read ~ us) update if any, around layout plans, house design etc...if the super area increases that means additional $$ :o)

3. Sample flat is all done up - like walls and all, but the plastering and touching up is expected to begin in April, I plan to visit the site this weekend and publish some recent pics

4. As soon as sample flat is ready, they plan to jack up the prices - what i heard was RS3500/- psqft - which to me is very unlikely given the market scenario - but Hey!!! am i complaining - absolutely not. If i put 3500 in the colum in my calculator spreadsheet - i am seeing profits (notional :)) -

Sounds like they are doing good progress.. they said as soon as hey get the approval notice.. other big private banks like ICICI and HDFC will be interested in loaning the project..

Yes I agree with you. Will post some pics that I take this weekend. I think BoB is giving good deals on home loans - they are also covereing the loan amount with insurance ...Anyway for some crazy strange reason - having private banks usually solidifies the projects credibility :)

Dear Friends

I also booked one flat in GPL in Dec-2007, But as i'm residence of Dubai, not exactly in touch with the developments that are going on this site. Can u pl clarify one doubt, as per my understanding this is already a licensed project and thats why they have already started the sample flat construction.

Then for wht approval they have gone to chandigarh (as per the comment seen above), when its already having the licence?????

Maninder - Thanks for participating in this blog. The Licence they have is to construct on the piece of land they have acquired in Sec 70.

The layout plans (building designs, heights, environment care, floor plans, FSI, super area, Infrastracture development, external development)yet to be approved..without which they cannot start excavation for the master plan...

hope this clarifies.
